Announcing our NEW Family Literacy Nights called “The Book Talks”
"The Book Talks" Family Literacy Nights is open to all children and their families. You will have the opportunity to experience books, stories and oral histories in both traditional and alternative formats including:
- reading circles led by staff and volunteers;
- oral histories shared by guests/volunteers;
- scanned books read aloud by assistive technology software such as Kurzweil or WordQ;
- audio books on CD with paper-based equivalent;
- paper-based picture books, levelled readers and stories.
This program is scheduled to take place from 6:00 to 7:30pm on the 3rd Monday of each month through to June. Contact the LDA London Region at 519-438-6213 or ldainfo@ldalondon.ca for more information and to reserve your space. With varied family size, it will be important to know the number of participants attending each month. “The Book Talks” is a free program - there is no fee to participate.
