My child has been diagnosed with a learning disability--what now?

The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (http://www.ldao.ca) has a number of excellent resources including online courses that parents can take. There are a number of videos introducing learning disabilities and ADHD as well. Our office houses a collection of video and printed materials and our Resource Consultant can provide advocacy and support via email, phone or in person. The Resource Consultant can be reached at 438-6213 ex. 26 or send an email to ldaresource@ldalondon.ca.

Where can I get an assessment to diagnose a learning disability and how much does it cost?

What is assistive/adaptive technology and how can it help?

What supports are available for secondary school students?

What is important for the future success of persons with LD?

Should medication be used to treat AD/HD?
