October is the LD month.
The Learning Disabilities Association of London Region has been serving children, youth and families for the past 50 years. Nearly 10% of all Canadians have learning disabilities. Those living with LDs are the single largest population living with disabilities and with the collaboration of community agencies like ours working with school and families we create positive life outcomes for our clients.
Over the next 3 years our agency will serve close to 3000 children, youth, adults, families and professionals. During the same time, we will be supported by approximately 750 students and community volunteers.
Every day we work relentlessly to fight stigma, bring awareness and educate what learning disabilities are, and importance of its impact on children, youth and their families.
In that light, we are organizing an open house on Monday, October 28. The registration is free and all are welcome! For more info and registration, please see the poster.
