Brain Boost
Building Executive Functioning Skills for Success in School, Home, and Life.
Grades 7-9 | 8-week program

Does your child struggle with organization, time management, procrastination, emotional regulation, or staying on top of schoolwork? These are all executive functioning (EF) skills. The essential brain-based skills that help students plan, focus, remember, and manage everyday tasks.
Brain Boost is an engaging 8-week small group program that helps students build the executive functioning skills they need to become more confident, independent, and successful at school and beyond.

What Students Receive
Weekly 90-minute in-person small group sessions.
Weekly individualized coaching check-ins for accountability and support
Practical strategies for organization, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and problem-solving
Opportunities to apply new skills to real-life school and home situations.
Parent Learning Sessions
Parents attend two learning sessions during the program while students participate in their own sessions. Parents will learn practical strategies to support executive functioning at home, create consistent routines, encourage independence, and foster resilience and a growth mindset.

Students leave Brain Boost with stronger executive functioning skills, improved independence, and practical strategies that they can use throughout high school and beyond. Families gain the tools to reinforce these skills at home, creating a supportive partnership for lasting success.
Weekly Sessions: 90 minutes, Mondays 6:30-8:00 pm, Sep 21 - Nov 16, 2026
Program Delivery Format: IN-PERSON
Cost: $350 for 8 weeks, including parent portion and take-home packages
Registration
If your child is new to our student programs, please click on the button below to complete the new client registration process. Please be prepared to include documents that are being requested throughout the form (assessment documentation, IEPs, report cards). We will contact you to discuss the programs and services you are interested in, as well as discuss any questions you may have.
At LDALR, we do not want our fees to act as a barrier to any family registering for our programs. During the intake and registration for program phase, our staff would be pleased to discuss with you the option of reducing or waiving fees.
