Write Forward Foundations
Designed specifically for students in grades 4-7 with LD and/or ADHD who struggle with expressive writing.
Through a combination of small-group instruction, 1:1 support from experienced tutors, engaging video lessons, guided writing practice, and Assistive technology (AT), students will develop the skills and confidence they need to become successful writers.
Using a clear, step-by-step approach, students will begin by learning how to write strong sentences before progressing to organizing their ideas with strategies such as mind mapping and developing well-structured paragraphs. Each lesson builds on the previous one, allowing students to experience success at every stage while strengthening their confidence and independence.
Parents are an important part of the learning journey. The program includes parent resources and practical strategies to help families support writing at home and reinforce the skills students are learning throughout the program
Write Forward For Writing
As students move into high school, writing becomes a bigger part of almost every subject. From essays and reports to assignments, exams, and post-secondary applications, strong writing skills are essential for success. For students with Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD, or executive functioning challenges, writing can feel overwhelming.
Write Forward is an 8-week program designed specifically for students in Grades 8-12 who need extra support with written expression. Many students know what they want to say but struggle to organize their ideas, get started, stay focused, or communicate thoughts clearly.
Students receive a combination of small-group instruction and individualized 1:1 support from experienced tutors, allowing them to learn new strategies while receiving personalized coaching tailored to their unique learning needs.
Through explicit instruction, guided practice, and the use of Assistive Technology (AT), students will learn how to plan, organize, draft, edit, and revise their writing with greater confidence. They’ll develop the skills needed to write effectively for a variety of school assignments while building independence and self-confidence.
Parents are an important part of the learning process. The program includes parent resources and practical strategies to help families support writing at home and reinforce the skills students are learning throughout the program.
